What is
Wedding Insurance? |
Wedding insurance protects your investment in your
wedding for reasons including: damage to venues, venues & suppliers
going out of business or not performing their services; the
cancellation of the wedding for various causes, such as weather,
terrorism, military deployment, airplane delays.
Coverage is also included to protect your rings,
attire, photographs, video, luggage, presents, cake & flowers, and
documents.
The Wedding Cancellation program includes coverage
for the rehearsals, ceremony, and reception. |
Cancellation, Abandonment or
Postponement |
|
An unavoidable deferment, or the inability to
complete or proceed with the Wedding or Reception. Provides coverage
for:
a) All irrecoverable expenses incurred for Reception
catering services, entertainment expenses, Wedding accommodation,
transport, Wedding flowers, photographs, dress hire, travel
arrangements and accommodation for the honeymoon and any other
non-refundable expenses that have been booked but not used.
b) The extra cost of alternative services to enable
re-arrangement of the Wedding to a similar standard and thus prevent
an otherwise unavoidable Cancellation, Abandonment or Postponement
of the Wedding and/or Reception. These extra costs are limited to a
maximum of 100% of the cost of the original services. |
Supplier Deposits |

Loss of non-refundable deposits paid to:
a) Suppliers/venues in the event of the cessation of
their business;
b) Live
entertainers if they fail to appear. |
Wedding Cars and Transport |
|
Covers the additional cost of alternative transport
if the private hire firm with whom the transport arrangements have
been made fails to meet their contractual obligations following
breakdown of the vehicle, an accident involving the vehicle, or the
non-appearance of the vehicle due to another cause. |
Wedding Attire |
|
Covers Wedding Attire that is lost, stolen or damaged beyond
repair or non-recoverable deposits if the supplier incurs
financial failure. |
Photographs and Video |
|
Covers additional expenses incurred in the necessary
retaking of the official Wedding photographs or video following:
1. the non-appearance of the booked photographer or
videographer
2. loss of or damage to the original film, negatives
or videotape
3. faulty materials causing the non-development of
the original film or negatives.
Coverage is not included if the photographs and/or
videotapes fail to meet the expectations or quality. |
Wedding Presents |
|
Covers loss of or damage to gifts, within 7 days
before and after the Wedding. Cash gifts are limited to $500. |
Wedding Rings |
|
Covers loss or damage to the bride or groom's
Wedding Rings, occurring within seven days before the Wedding. |
Wedding Cake and Flowers |
|
Covers loss of or damage to the Wedding cake
and/or flowers within 24 hours before the Wedding. |
Wedding Stationery |
|
Covers loss or damage to the Wedding stationery
within 28 days before the Wedding. |
Wedding Documents |
|
Covers loss of or damage to Wedding documents
within 24 hours before and after the Wedding. |
Honeymoon Luggage |
|
Covers loss or damage to the honeymoon luggage
on the day of the Wedding and/or Reception. Coverage is in force
while the luggage is at the bride's or groom's or their parents'
home, at the Reception or in transit between any of these
locations. |
Professional Counseling |
|
Covers costs incurred by the bride or groom
for professional counseling as recommended by a medical
Physician as a result of the unavoidable Cancellation of the
Wedding. Coverage is in force while the luggage is at the
bride's or groom's or their parents' home, at the Reception or
in transit between any of these locations. |
