General Liability |
What is covered?
|
Covers
the Trade Show Exhibitor or Concessionaire for losses due to
bodily injury or property
damage
caused by the insured’s employees or agents. |
General
Aggregate and Occurrence Differences? |
The aggregate is the total liability
limit for the policy period. The occurrence is the limit per
claim. The UNLIMITED general aggregate means there is no cap
on the total policy limit. However, there is a limit of 1,000,000
for each claim (i.e. the policy will cover an unlimited number of
separate incidents at a maximum limit of 1,000,000 per each
claim). |
Are "additional insureds" included? |
Blanket additional insureds are
included and your trade show organizer can be provided with
certificates of insurance naming them as additional insured in the
event of a loss. |
What
is a Waiver of Subrogation? |
Occasionally,
the trade show organizer will request a waiver of subrogation. In
the event of loss,
this
prevents your insurance company from recovering any funds from the
organizer if the claim
was
due to the organizer’s negligence. |
Is
Products Liability Included? |
Products
liability is included for exhibitors. For concessionaires,
products liability is included only
if
you sell the following: Food, beverages, clothing, records, tapes,
CDs, posters, badges,
photos,
stickers. |
Third
Party Property Damage |
What is covered? |
Covers
damage to property of others while in the care, custody and
control of the insured (i.e.
damage
to trade show facility). |
Excess
Liability |
What is covered? |
The
excess liability provides an additional layer of coverage over the
general liability.
If
the venue or facility has capacity for more than 10,000 attendees,
the excess coverage is not
available. |
